Rachel Hayden joins the Cambridge Cyrenians’ Board of Trustees.
Before joining the Cambridge Cyrenians’ Board, Rachel was CEO of Cambridge and District Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) for over 20 years.
Rachel’s background in charity management and the commercial sector, alongside appointments as a trustee for Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service (CCVS) and Citizens Advice Mid Suffolk, puts her in a unique position to contribute to the future of Cambridge Cyrenians’ strategy and direction.
Rachel said: “I worked alongside Cambridge Cyrenians for years while at Cambridge CAB. So, when I recently retired, I was looking for volunteering opportunities but I wanted to focus that time and energy on an organisation that made direct, immediate and very effective impact on peoples lives. Cyrenians ticks those boxes and many more.”
Reflecting on Rachel’s appointment, Director of Cambridge Cyrenians, James Martin, said: “Having worked with Rachel while she was at Cambridge CAB I am excited about her joining the Board. Her wealth of skills and experience will be invaluable in guiding Cambridge Cyrenians forward. Her appointment will ensure the charity has the knowledge and expertise it needs to continue supporting some of the most vulnerable people in the city.”
