Homelessness is complex, but the support that changes lives starts with people. By donating, volunteering, fundraising or supporting us in other ways, you help provide safe homes, specialist support and real opportunities for people experiencing homelessness in Cambridge. There’s no single way to help — every contribution matters.
View our amazon wishlistWe give new residents a set of household and toiletry items when they arrive. Often people are coming from sofa-surfing, rough sleeping or temporary hostel accommodation and have not been able to bring many personal possessions with them. Receiving a brand new pillow, duvet and bedsheets encourage residents to see their room as their own space and can be the first step to feeling settled and at home in a house.
A set of new cleaning supplies is given to every resident on arrival. For those coming from insecure housing situations, these small but essential items can make a big difference. Being able to clean and maintain their own space supports dignity, independence, and a sense of ownership over their home.
Residents receive a selection of creative and mindfulness items, including paint brushes, canvases, paint sets, colouring books, and art materials. These items encourage calm, focus, and self-expression, helping residents manage stress, build confidence, and develop healthy routines during a period of significant change.
Help us to continue our twice-weekly allotment sessions by contributing tools, seeds and equipment. These therapeutic sessions offer a safe, welcoming space for people experiencing, facing or vulnerable to homelessness.
