The Cambridge Cyrenians Allotment Project is a therapeutic community garden for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Cambridge. Run using a therapeutic horticulture model, the project offers a safe, supportive space where people can connect with nature and others, learn new skills and improve their wellbeing through time outdoors.

Participants can self-refer, and referrals are also welcomed from other organisations. Sessions are kept small, with around 6–8 participants, to ensure a safe and supportive environment. A no-alcohol policy applies on site, and participants must be able to use tools safely.

Access to our services is usually via referral from Cambridge City Council or partner organisations. If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness, the council’s Housing Advice Team is the first point of contact.

Our office is open 9-4.30pm on weekdays. If you are concerned about someone who is homeless or rough sleeping, you can inform the Street Outreach Team via the Streetlink website.
