In a recent interview for Cambridge 105 Radio, James Martin, Director of Cambridge Cyrenians, spoke to Julian Clover about the housing challenges faced by local residents. James emphasised the pressing need for affordable options for Cyrenians residents to move on to after supported housing.
Prompted by the recent ‘Cambridge 2040’ plans put forward by Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, Julian and James’ conversation covered the positive aspects of increased home building and job opportunities, and stressed the importance of provision for local residents within the city’s development plans.
Cambridge Cyrenians are committed to raising awareness about housing needs for those at risk of or experiencing homelessness in Cambridge and working towards practical solutions to ensure that everyone has access to secure and affordable housing.
