We were really lucky to be invited to the Future Business Centre, in King's Hedges, Cambridge today. Allia, a local not-for-profit company, manages the centre, providing affordable and accessible office space for small local charities and organisations and free business advice for them.
We brought with us lots of our late summer/ autumn produce including pumpkins, butternut squash, tomatoes, kale and herb bags. And we set up a stall in the reception of the impressive office buildings.
There was a lot of interest from the various organisation's staff who came to chat about our work and pick up our produce. They were all extremely generous with donations. The cash we made today will go directly back to the community allotment and some will fund our end-of-year winter celebration.
We even managed to find a taker for our amazing Sicilian Snake Squash! David promised that he will get in touch and let us know how his recipe worked out.
The Allia team provided us with some lovely refreshments, including tea and cakes to keep us going!
Thanks also to the Allia marketing team for making up some goody bags with teeshirts, water bottles and other eco-friendly gifts for our group members.
We really enjoyed sharing our stories and produce at the Future Business Centre today.
