We hope everyone is having a lovely year so far. It’s been a wet, chilly and windy start to the year, which does make things a little bit tricky for our twice-weekly allotment sessions, but we’re still meeting, enjoying each other’s company, and making the most of our plans despite the poor weather! Here’s a little of what we’ve been up to.
While there’s been a lot of huddling around our fire pit and wood burner with a warm brew, we’ve also been brainstorming and planning our ideas for the months to come and prepping our beautiful 6-plots ready for the Spring. This includes weeding, tidying and seed planting.
In February, we were delighted to welcome a visit from our friends at Cultivating Change. We gave Sally and Rosie a tour of our allotment site, and they kindly donated a large seed donation. We’re all keen to look at how we might collaborate in future, and Cultivating Change want to support us with seeds again. Thank you for your visit, team!
We're often asked what items our supporters can donate to help us continue running our twice-weekly sessions for people with experience of homelessness. It means so much to us that so many of you are thinking of our community. Thank you!
Our Wishlist includes gardening tools and supplies that help us to continue making the most out of these sessions together. The easiest way is to donate through our Amazon Wishlist. You can find the link to our Wishlist page here.
Thank you for supporting us and keeping up with our updates. Stay tuned for more from us soon!
