We were proud to take part in the End Women’s Homelessness Assembly on the 8th of March. The event brought together organisations, advocates and community partners to explore the unique challenges faced by women experiencing homelessness.
Organised by Embrace Cambridge and Gender Agenda, the Assembly united local charities, including ourselves, It Takes A City, and others. Together, we shared the work happening across Cambridge, including contributions from Cambridge Cyrenians, to support women who are at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness.
The discussions sparked important ideas about how we can collectively remove barriers, improve access to support, and ensure women across our community feel seen, heard, and supported. We value the importance of our organisations working together to be there for women facing, experiencing or vulnerable to homelessness.
All proceeds from the event were donated to The Haven, It Takes A City’s overnight drop-in shelter supporting at-risk women in Cambridge.
