2023 was an eventful year for us at the community allotment.
We've enjoyed fun volunteering events including the big build with the Allia team in June and our Sleepout for World Homeless Day in October.
We're already planning more exciting volunteering and fundraising events in 2024.
The group members have experienced personal highs and lows over the past 12 months, including getting jobs but losing friends. We will be having a memorial event in February to celebrate the life of one of our long term group members who we lost in 2023.
We grew lots of amazing crops for cooking up on our fire pit at our seasonal celebrations and it also enabled us to get out into the community and hold stalls to raise awareness and funds.
And to finish off the year just right we had a slap up meal to celebrate all our hard work!
So, if 2024 is as successful as last year we'll be very happy. Watch this space.
