There are always lots of fun festivities and events at our community allotment during the autumn and winter months. But Halloween/ Samhain is probably one of the most fun!
This year’s weather has been a very unpredictable and we’ve not had perfect conditions for some of our crops. But it’s been an amazing year for pumpkins and squash, especially the huge ‘Jack o Lantern’ pumpkins.
Our friends at Allia Ltd, based at the Future Business Centre invited us to run our annual Halloween stall at their offices this year. The centre hosts affordable office spaces, support and training for local charities and start-up businesses.
Several of the staff teams had got into the spirit of the day and got dressed up in spooky costumes.
And we had a few witches and warlocks in our group too...
We had a lot of interest in our produce and chatted about our community allotment, what we do and how it benefits the group members.
Thanks to Allia again for hosting the day, for all the generous donations and even laying on some very spooky cakes and refreshments for us!
